At Adelahaye Strategic Branding, we have always believed in the power of storytelling to shape hospitality experiences. Our expertise in branding and communications has set the foundation for some of the most iconic destinations across the region. Now, we are taking this commitment to the next level by offering an end-to-end branding, interior design, and architectural consultancy service—creating truly immersive experiences for hospitality spaces that go beyond aesthetics to shape guest interactions and perceptions at every touchpoint.
This spring, we are proud to unveil a brand-new soft brand for Hyatt, set to open in the vibrant neighborhood of Seminyak, Bali. As part of the Joie de Vivre (JDV) portfolio, this 64-room hotel introduces a fresh, mid-century-inspired design that redefines hospitality in Seminyak. Inspired by the timeless principles of designers like Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, and Arne Jacobsen, the property embraces clean lines, organic forms, and a harmonious blend of function and aesthetics. Adelahaye has played a pivotal role in creating a distinctive and personal brand identity for the property—one that extends beyond collateral and guest experiences into a bold and sophisticated interior and architectural concept. Our work on this project marks a significant expansion of our expertise. We have developed a fully integrated interior concept, custom furniture, and an exclusive artwork package that encapsulates the brand’s essence. The furniture and interiors reference the iconic craftsmanship of mid-century modern pioneers, echoing the sculptural forms of Saarinen’s Tulip chairs, the warmth of Eames’ plywood designs, and the minimalist yet inviting ethos of Scandinavian greats such as Finn Juhl. By moving away from the conventional Bali design aesthetic, we have drawn new inspiration from the island’s heritage, yet viewed through a fresh and innovative lens.To achieve this, we have engaged local craftsmen and creatives while expanding our team in Bali to bring authentic local perspectives into material selection and execution. This collaborative approach has resulted in a design that feels both timeless and contemporary, elevating the guest experience through thoughtful details and craftsmanship. More than just a design project, this hotel represents a fully realized branded persona—where every space and touchpoint reflects the brand’s identity, creating a truly immersive guest experience.By blending the personal nature of the brand into the architectural and interior design, we aim to create unique spaces and curated collections that resonate deeply with guests. The property embraces and celebrates Seminyak’s vibrant local neighborhood, weaving in rich cultural narratives from its heritage of music, fashion, and design. As a chic international melting pot, Seminyak has long been a key driver in Bali’s unique expansion and place on the global stage. Our design approach honors this dynamic energy while creating a contemporary, sophisticated experience that seamlessly integrates with the spirit of the destination.Further, this project embodies a lively and charismatic identity that invites guests into a space that is more than just a hotel—it is a living narrative. With an emphasis on vibrant design, personal touches, and curated experiences, we have collaborated with artists, musicians, and culinary innovators to bring a dynamic energy that reflects the artistic and cultural spirit of Seminyak. The hotel is designed as a gathering place for creatives, explorers, and those seeking a deeper connection to Bali’s modern evolution, setting the stage for a new kind of hospitality experience. In addition to its distinctive design and branding, the hotel will incorporate biophilic design elements to create a calm, natural environment that fosters relaxation and well-being. Guests will be able to enjoy a stunning rooftop pool and bar, an events space for social and creative gatherings, and a concept restaurant led by a renowned chef. The hotel’s accommodation offering includes a variety of room types—king, suite, terrace, and twin rooms—catering to the intrepid urban explorer. Drawing inspiration from leading lifestyle hospitality brands such as the PROPER Hotel, Hoxton, and SOHO HOUSE, this project seamlessly integrates global design sensibilities with Seminyak’s unique character. With this project, Adelahaye aims to redefine the hospitality landscape in Bali, setting a new benchmark for boutique hotel experiences in the region. The property’s standout features include a stunning rooftop club, a soon-to-be-iconic restaurant and dining space, and interiors that seamlessly blend sophistication with relaxed luxury. Every aspect of the guest experience has been meticulously curated to reflect the brand’s identity, from the architectural details to the ambiance and functionality of each space. This debut project with Hyatt marks an exciting new chapter for Adelahaye Strategic Branding. Led by our Managing Partner and Creative Director, Alexander de la Haye, alongside our Jakarta and Bali-based teams, we are committed to bringing fresh perspectives and deeper community engagement to hospitality design, architecture, and branding across Indonesia and beyond.“With this project, we wanted to push beyond the expected and create something that resonates on a deeper level with guests. Our goal was to blend strong branding with a bold, immersive interior concept that feels both fresh and rooted in place. Drawing from the ethos of mid-century masters, we’ve created a hospitality experience that is both timeless and ahead of its time. We are excited to be shaping the next chapter of hospitality design in the region,” says Alexander de la Haye.We look forward to continuing our journey in creating innovative, experience-driven spaces that challenge traditional norms and set new standards for immersive hospitality design in the region.Related
